East Jakarta PMI Assists Fire Survivors in Utan Kayu Selatan

The East Jakarta Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) distributed humanitarian aid to fire survivors on Jalan Rasamala Raya, RT 14/06, Utan Kayu Selatan Urban Village, Matraman District.

PMI will always be ready to help

The aid was provided to help ease the burden on fire survivors who are currently facing the recovery period following the fire that occurred last Friday (5/29).

Head of East Jakarta PMI, Bambang Pangestu Aldriyan said the assistance was distributed on Tuesday (6/2) afternoon by Utan Kayu Selatan Urban Village.

"The assistance provided includes three basic food packages, three family kit packages, three folding mats, and three hygiene kit packages," he said, Wednesday (6/3).

Bambang hopes that this assistance can help meet the basic needs of fire survivors and provide moral support amidst the situation they are currently facing.

"We at PMI will always be ready to help," he admitted.

Meanwhile, Head of Matraman District, Muhammad Husnul Fauji appreciated the quick response shown by the East Jakarta PMI in realizing the assistance requests.

He stated that this assistance is very meaningful for fire survivors who are currently still trying to recover and meet their daily needs after the incident.

"We express our gratitude for the assistance provided. This is certainly very helpful in easing the burden on residents affected by the fire disaster," he stated.
